EVAN JOHNSON AND INGABORG FLANN FAMILY HISTORY
EVAN JOHNSON AND INGABORG FLANN
According to the Obituary I have in my scrapbook, Grandpa
Johnson was born in Rennebu, Norway on September 27, 1862 and came to
America in 1885. Grandmother Ingeborg was born in Tronheim, Norway on
September 19, 1871 and came to this country a short time later. They were
married at Rice Lake, Wisconsin.
Grandfather worked in the woods many years at logging camps. I remember
him as a filer in the saw mill at Rice Lake. They also spent some years at
Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin. They are buried in the Nora Cemetery in Rice
This information contributed by Alesi Giles Tjader -- daughter of Hulda,
who was the first born of Ingeborg.
GRANDPA JOHNSON'S PARENTS

Grandpa did change his name from Ytterhus to Johnson. His nephew (our
mother's cousin) John Ytterhus lived in Chicago. He and his wife Inga
are both dead now, but their daughter lives there and her brother Arthur
lives in Boston, I think. They have contact with relatives in Norway.
Mildred's address is MILDRED HOLLAND, 2411 W. Fitch Ave., Chicago, IL
60645, Tel. 312-338-4681.
This information contributed by Jeanne Hazelberg Ricci -- daughter
of Ida, who was the fourth child of Ingeborg and Evan.
I've never heard of Grandma's name being Halvorson. I have her name as
Ingaborg Randina Yarnaa Flann. I went to the cemetary today (May 1999)
and Grandma's marker just says "MOTHER INGABORG" with her birth and death.
Her father's name was Halvor, but that would make her name Halvorsdatter
in Norway - not Halvorson.
