FLANN REUNION
BRING THOSE GRAND-KIDS
Dear Relatives,
Our annual Flann Family Reunion will again be held at Kandiyohi County Park on Kandiyohi Lake just 7 miles north of Lake Lillian. The date is July 25, 1971. Coffee and goodies will be served by the welcoming committee approximately at 10 am for the early bird and those who come from a distance. At 12 noon, Pot Luck dinner will be served and shared by all. Please bring pot luck and your own eating and drinking utinsils. Food items you bring depends upon the distance you travel. Potato chips, relishes in jars, buns or cookies for those coming a distance will be most sufficient. The more perishable foods are furnished by our closer to home relatives who have always set a bountiful table with their generous supply of delicious food and goodies. Coffee and nectar will be served all day.
Signs will be posted from Lake Lillian, which is 85 miles west of Minneapolis-St Paul on Highway 7, to the Picnic area to help you find the way.
The Flann Family History is now published for you in Booklet form. We wish to thank each one of you for the support and cooperation you have given us throughout this vast project. Without your responses and sincere interest we could not have accomplished it. We also include a handy pocket size address booklet again this year as over 100 new addresses were added!
A vast project indeed it is! We contributed over 150 hours of our time--add to it the hours you all spent in answering our letters of inquiry which totaled more than 70 letters that were sent. This all was accomplished in the period of one year. Not all areas are complete due to lack of response, but we felt we should go ahead and print the booklet with the information we do have. 300 copies were printed and 250 were mailed--leaving 50 copies on a first come first serve basis for those of you who wish more copies for your immediate family. We ask in return you help us ONLY with the cost of PRINTING and POSTAGE--this cost comes to $1.00 for your copy and for any additional copies you may want. Please send your dollar with any corrections and additions to us if you are unable to attend the annual Flann Reunion this July 25, 1971. To keep this up to date, you may send additional information in the future to us and we will give it to the Historian of the Flann Reunion so that it may be recorded. A bulletin board is on display with this information each year at the reunion.
This year is election year. Offices include--President, Secretary-Treasure, Historian and a Welcoming Committee. Please keep this in mind.
We look forward to meeting you at the Annual Flann Reunion this July. Bring PICTURES and bring those GRAND-KIDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
