OLE FLANN AND HILDA OPSAHL FAMILY HISTORY
Ole Flann was born in Norway. After coming to America he settled for a short time in Lake Lillian. He also lived in Wheaten and Willmar where the first-born Ruth was baptized. He often mentioned Wheaten and wished he could have stayed there.
Ole was a streetcar-conductor in Minneapolis before he moved to Thief River Falls. Ibsen, the first-born son and third child, was a baby when Ole moved to Thief River Falls and settled on a farm 12 miles out of town. There 3 sons and 2 daughters were born making the family number now 8 children. Ole and wife Hilda spent most of their years in and around Thief River Falls. The family belonged to the Rendahl Church located in New Solum in Marshall County. Ole and Hilda are buried in the Rendahl Church Cemetary.
